Investar Payment FAQs

Q.- How does the 15-day Free Trial work?

Your 15-day Free Trial will start as soon as you download Investar Standard 3.0 and start using it. You get to try the full-featured software for free for 15 days before you have to pay for it. After the 15-day Free Trial is over, you can go for either the Basic or Standard Edition by paying with a Credit or Debit Card with Paypal.

Q.- I am interested in the Basic Edition. Can I have a 15-day Free Trial of Investar Basic 3.0?

We only provide a one-time 15-day Free Trial of the highest paid edition which is currently the Standard Edition. This allows you as a first-time Investar user to try out a complete full-featured edition to enable you to make a proper decision about which Edition to go for at the end of the trial. You can decide on which Edition to pick by viewing a more detailed Feature Comparison of the two editions.

Q.- What if I want to pay in the middle of the 15-day free trial?

If you choose to pay in the middle of the 15-day Free Trial, your annual subscription will be effective after the 15 day trial is over, i.e. you get 15 days of first-time free use no matter when you pay for your subscription For example, if your trial started on Feb 1st, 2009 and you decided to go for annual subscription on Feb 5th, 2009, your annual subscription will expire on Feb 15th, 2010.

Q.- Do I get a 15-day free trial if I upgrade from Lite plan to a Paying Plan at a later date?

If you upgrade from the Lite Edition to the Basic or Standard Edition, you are not eligible for the 15-day free trial. The 15-day free trial on paying plans only applies if you sign up for a paying plan now.

Q.- Which plan is better – Monthly or Annual?

It depends on you. When you sign up for the Annual plan, you get 2 free months of subscription for paying in advance. However, if you would rather pay a smaller amount, you can prefer to pay as you go, and go with the Monthly Plan.

Q.- What types of payment do you accept?

Currently we accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express credit cards. At this time we only accept payments online.

Q.- Where can we review your terms of service and privacy policies?

Here are our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

Q.- When I make a payment, is my Credit Card information secure?

We use an internationally recognised, third-party secure on-line payment provider Paypal. As soon as you enter the payment process, every bit of information that is transferred between you and us is encrypted using SSL encryption. Even if data could be intercepted over the Internet it would be useless.

Investar Refund Policy

Q.- What do you mean by 100% money-back guarantee?

At InvestarIndia.com, we are very confident about the quality and utility of our product. That is why we pride ourselves in offering a 100% money-back guarantee on the unused portion of the subscription. For Monthly-Recurring Plans, this means that you would never be charged again after cancellation. For Annual Plans, this means that you get a refund depending on the months that you have used so far.

Q.- How do I cancel my account?

You can cancel your account at any time by logging into your account and selecting the "Manage Subscriptions" menu. Once you are on the "Manage Subscriptions" page, click the "Cancel" link to request a cancellation of subscription.

Q.- What if I cancel a Monthly Plan?

Once you cancel a Monthly Plan, you won't be charged again, but you are responsible for whatever charges have already been incurred for the current billing period. For example, if your billing cycle is on the 18th of every month, and you cancel on the 24th, you'll still have to pay for the current month, but you won't be charged again after that. In order to treat everyone equally, no exceptions will be made.

Q.- What if I cancel an Annual Plan?

Once you cancel an Annual Plan, you get a refund based on the number of months of subscription you have used so far. Cancellation in the middle of a month is counted as a full month. For example, lets say a user starts a 15-day free trial of Investar Standard 3.0 on Feb 10th, 2009. After using Investar for 5 days, she chooses to pay for the Annual Subscription of USD 199.9 on Feb 15th, 2009.

1. Scenario 1: If she cancels on Feb 20th, she will get a full refund of USD 199.9 since she is still within the 15-day Trial Period.

2. Scenario 2: If she cancels on Apr 17th,2009, she will be refunded back all the money except the 2 months that have been used (i.e., 199.90 - 2*19.99 = USD 159.92). She will however continue to be able to use Investar till the end of her 2nd month, i.e Apr 25th, 2009.

3. Scenario 3: If she cancels on Dec 28th,2009 she would have used up 10 months, hence she would not be eligible for a refund. She will however continue to be able to use Investar till the end of her annual subscription period, i.e Feb 25th, 2010.
